Pushtiraj Fish Feed Literature

Pushtiraj Feed is made from the best quality raw materials at the best price.

Bangladesh is a populous country. The fisheries sector has been playing a special role in meeting the nutritional needs of the people of this country and eliminating the problem of unemployment. As a result, this sector is expanding rapidly. At present, Bangladesh ranks fourth in fish production. The fish farmers have contributed the most to this success. In addition to meeting the demand for meat, the relentless efforts of the farmer brothers in the development of the country certainly deserve praise. Lack of good quality fish feed in fish farming is always hindering the progress of the farmer brothers. Lack of quality feed increases the cost of fish production. As the market price of fish is lower than the cost of production, the farmers are gradually losing interest in fish farming. To solve this problem of the fish farmers, Arman Feeds and Fisheries Limited has brought to the market the best quality fish feed, Pushtiraj Fish Feed. Pushtiraj Feed ensures excellent quality and the lowest feed conversion rate (FCR).

The Following Points are Noted for Scientific Fish Farming:
Pond Preparation:

      • Before preparing the pond, the pond should be surrounded by a net so that snakes, frogs, etc. cannot enter.

      • The shore needs to be repaired by removing giant and unwanted fish. It is better if the bottom of the pond is equal. In the case of old ponds, it is better to dry the bottom of the pond for 8-10 days.

      • It is better to apply lime at the rate of 1 to 1.5 kg per shotangso in dry ponds and 1.5 kg to 2 kg per shotangso in new ponds.

      • If it is not possible to dry the pond, then after removing the giant and unwanted fish, lime should be applied at the rate of 1 kg to 1.5 kg per shotangso.

      • After 5 days of lime application, 150 g Urea, 100 g TSP should be mixed in the pond water to make plankton.

      • After application of fertilizer and 3 days before the release of fry, if 200 g of nursery feed is mixed in per shotangso, the watercolor easily turns light green, light brown, and greenish-brown. In this case, it is a good time to stock the fry.

The Density of Nursing Fry:

Atur pond is 20-40 shotangso in size and water depth is 3-4.5 feet. Once the watercolor is light green, light brown, and greenish-brown, it is better to stock fish fry in the following concentrations:

Name of cultivation

Fry stock density in per shotanso

Tilapia nursing

1000-1200

Pangas nursing

1000-1500

Pabda/Gulsha/Koi/Shing/Magur nursing

2500-3000

NB: For best results, you must stock high-quality fry. Fries are so small that is why extra care is needed. After nursing the fish in the nursing pond for 20-30 days, if the weight of the fish is 5-6 grams, it is better to transfer it to the stocking pond.

Fry Nursing Management:

Improved quality fish fry required for maximum production. In order to equalize the temperature of polythene bags /Fry pots with the water of the pond, first the polybag / Fry pot should be floated in the pond for at least 15 minutes. Then open the mouth of the bag/pot, tilt it a little and let the water enter slowly with the wave in your hand, then the fry will go into the water of the pond with ease.

Fry Stock Density for Proper Production:

Name of cultivation

Fry stock density in per shotanso

Tilapia single cultivation

120 tilapia, 6-7 silver / bighead / catla

Pangas single cultivation

60 pangas, 6-7 silver / bighead / catla

Pangas-Carp mixed cultivation

40 pangas, 10 silver / bighead / catla, 7 rui, 3 mrigel, 1 carpio, 2 grass carp, 3 shorputi

Tilapia-Carp mixed cultivation

60 tilapia, 10 silver / bighead / catla, 7 rui, 3 mrigel, 1 carpio, 2 grass carp, 3 shorputi

Carp mixed cultivation

15 silver / bighead / catla, 25 rui, 5 mrigel, 5 carpio, 2 grass carp, 3 shorputi

Koi single cultivation

500 koi, 6-8 silver / bighead / catla

Shing/tengra mixed cultivation

500 shing, 200 tengra, 6-8 silver / bighead / catla

Magur-tengra mixed cultivation

300 magur, 300 tengra, 6-8 silver / bighead / catla

Things to Do after Stocking:

      • It is better to apply feed in certain places at certain times of the day. Good results are obtained by applying feed on both sides along the middle of the pond.

      • If the weight and health of the fish are checked twice a month, the effectiveness of the feed (feed conversion rate or FCR) can be easily known.

      • It is better not to apply feed during rains.

      • In the case of Shing, Magur, Gulsa, and Pabda fish, good results are obtained by applying feed after daily evening and in the early morning as well as at other times.

Fish Health Management:

      • Fish are more susceptible to diseases in winter, so in the month of Ashwin-Kartik, 0.5 kg of lime and 0.5 kg of salt per shotanso applied twice a month for 7 consecutive days does not usually infect fish.

      • Better results are obtained by applying disinfectant every 15-20 consecutive days from Kartik-Agrahayan month to the whole winter.

      • The cooperation of the Upazila Fisheries Officer or the Fisheries Specialists of Arman Feeds and Fisheries Ltd. for any undesirable disease and its treatment and farm-related consultation will make the farm more profitable.

Feed Preservation:

      • Store feed in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place in a shady place.

      • Store feed bags on wooden / bamboo scaffolding.

      • Protect feed from rat infestation and do not store feed with pesticides and other toxins.

      • Use Pushtiraj Fish Feed within 90 days of production for proper growth.

Finally, for good results in fish farming, quality fry, quality feed as well as good farm management need to be ensured.
